I looked in my manual and it doesn't really say now much gear oil to put in the rear dif., it just says to fill until it's just below the higher bolt. I think I have 3-4 quarts un-opened, will that be enough?

small nut on the bottom side of radiator, make sure you're on a flat surface and jack up the rear so it will help full the fluids out.

What coolant should I put in? It's a 50/50 mix of water/coolant, right?

Some say synthetic in the tranny can **** up your syncros. I used 75 90 valvoline in my tranny and rear diff and noticed a jhuge difference from just changing out the old stinky gear oil. Chech out the metal flakes on the magnetic drain plug too.
