1.8, not a boxer, WTF. I'm pretty sure the last 200 1.8 motors I have worked on look just like your mommy's WRX motor!! You own a WRX for a month and you now think you a Subaru expert.

 

um...rice is alive and well, doo. go to pep boys, go to any honda meet. go drive around one night and you will see the sea of bluewasher nozzles. turn on the tv and you will see hi-rev tuners. go to any import car show and you will be amazed by a craptacular display of euro-tails, BMW Z3 gills, skyline taillights, lcd monitors in the back seats of cars, carbon fiber rollcages, etc. rice is not dead. it's just getting started. and i don't know how stupid you are, but as long as there are kids (children) there are going to be minivans, station wagons, and SUVS. i don't know, maybe you were hoping they'd all just go away, but no, kids are pretty much a regular item here on earth, and you have to realize that not everyone is a race car driver like you. people like their minivans and station wagons. speaking of station wagons, subaru is known for theirs. there's even a wrx wagon, and no, it's not going away. people like wagons and minivans. and suvs aren't going away either. why? because as long as there are guys out there with small penises, there will be big SUVs, making them look manly, when in reality a chevy suburban is a woman's car. a soccer mom's car. sure, you can 'drift a burb', but you're still a woman. so those aren't going away either, unless there is a law passed that forbids them. but oh wait, that's not going to happen since the government uses a barrage of high end SUVs like the escalade and the navigator to haul around politicians and special personel. it's like the new limosine. and most of them own suvs as well. they give a feeling of pwer when you drive them, and obviously all politicians are power hungry or they wouldn't be in that line of work. so i doubt that congressmen are going to vote to keep their car off the road, since they probably like the cars they ride in and drive in.

those are all piece of crap cars, by the way. the last 2 aren't available to the public, but the consumer versions of those cars are not something to be desired as far as a performance car. yes, subaru and mitsubishi, and even ford have boasted their street version of the rally cars to be "rally-inspried", but the similarities are minimal. think about it. each rally car costs around $500,000 to build. the wrx costs $25,000. so there must be something missing there. sure, the body is strong and the engine has the same displacement, but the wrx is not a rally car. you have to put a lot of money into that car to make it ready to rally. you can drive the wrx in the dirt, and it's a lot of fun, but it's set up for the street, and that is really where it is meant to be run. i guess driving a wrx off road is like driving an suv off-road. you can do it, but it's probably not a good idea. besides, driving in the dirt is very hard on your car. those rally cars get torn down and rebuild on a regular basis, our cars usually do not.
