maybe. i finally got my belts replaced. your a/c belt snapped on me and it grounded a hole on my timing belt cover... my tensioner was replaced as well.. apparently that sht broke again.

that's great. i can't wait for his A/C to stop working again soon. i suggest him to get it done somewhere whent he car runs again. there must be a way for them to measure the tension and set it up properly.

I"m sure with the new one it'll be ok.
Here's what i found
The belt tension is set by deflection:
Alt/PS belt:
replaced: 7 - 9 mm (0.276 - 0.354 in)
reused: 9.0 - 10.0 mm (0.354 - 0.394 in)
A/C belt:
replaced: 7.5 - 8.5 mm (0.295 - 0.335 in)
reused: 9.0 - 10.0 mm (0.354 - 0.394 in)

Given the circumstances, on that day when Kevin's belts snapped. We had no choice because of what time this happened at. I do remember telling Kevin change the belts ASAP because using used belts is not good.
