Car Info: Soon to have an 06 STi
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but has anyone had any experience with these guys lately? My wife and I wen there the other day since I'm in the market for an STi, and the salespeople were complete asshats. They couldn't get over the fact that we were there only to check the car out in person. (Internet research can only do so much, if you know what I mean.)

And then there was the lady that works in the showroom. She kept asking why I was smiling (I always smile. Don't ask.) and was hella persistent in trying to get us to buy it right away. She was saying that we could take it home that day, but since we just financed a Toyota Sequoia, we couldn't really afford to get out credit checked again (more than 3 inquiries per month is a bad thing to your score). Anyways, I didn't have too great a time there.

Now I don't want to go back home to the Bay Area (I live and work at Vandenberg AFB) just to get the car, so I'm thinking about Rancho Grande and Santa Barbara. Since Rancho is closer, I'd like to go with them. But does anyone know who I should work with to get the car? And if it helps, I'm looking to pay cash.

TIA

Actually, it wasn't Santa Barbara. The other dealership I'm looking to working with is Barber Subaru in Ventura. Hope that helps.

that's all i have to say about rancho. but that was a long time ago. i think it's worth a drive to santa cruz or carlsen subaru (redwood city) to get the car.

I'm trying to talk to the internet sales guy over at Rancho Grande since he seemed pretty cool when he called me last week. Unfortunately, he wasn't there when the wife and I went to check out the car.

I also talked to the internet guy at Barber Subaru in Ventura, and he seemed cool as hell. They didn't have the color I was looking for, but I guess I can learn to like Steel Gray. They also had a Limited in the showroom that he said he could sell to me for their cost. Now I have to consider whether to get the STi or the Limited. I like the looks of the regular STi better, but the Limited has the leather, moonroof, sick lip spoilers, and other goodies. Decisions, decisions...

Did rancho still have that white STi cause I was going to buy it but I stayed local and got a blue one? When I lived in SLO and went to that dealership for service they were ok but the salespeople I didn't like.

Are you still down here? I got here in september. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you drive the blaze yellow on base?
