place to stay in santa barbara?
i need to get out of the city. i was thinking about going to tahoe but never been in santa barbara before. i need to relax and the beach sounds likes a good idea to me.
i already check expedia but most places ask for a two days stay and i need just one night.
any place anyone recommend? im looking for something not too expensive but not too cheap, just a nice place to relax for a few days. and yes the suby is going

Try hotels.com for hotels? Sorry, I have no advice for hotel searching. Have fun on your trip!

Go on a weekday...
Hotel beds are hard to find in SB on the weekend. All of L.A. lives there on the weekend ~ that is why I moved.
PM me your price range and I will tell you what I know!

if you use hotels.com or any other website, try calling the hotel directly to see if they can match or beat the internet price. they may have a better cancellation policy than the websites too. hotels.com charges $25 for a cancellation, even if it's more than 24hrs before the stay.

*** Oceana ~ great place with a lot of rooms. Right across the street from the pier and the harbor (with restaurants) and you can walk to State St. with shops/eats/bars and you won't get a DUI walking home ;-) ***
