well smart phones were aimed at business men in terms of emails, that's why bb and palm were so successful early on. but something as multitasking can make it's very frustrating, i know for me it would be. i use my phone for work and thats one reason why i got it. vpn, remote desktop, telnet and other ish. it may not give you full "desktop" experience but when it first came out, bb and palm, people actually did use mobile office to do some work. but yeah people who buy iphone for business use are tard faces. apple just made a smart phone for regular simple users.
this guy just doesnt know how to use an iphone it as simple as that.
"Interesting post, however, I totally disagree. Given the fact that the iPhone is not a computer, I feel that it is a great substitute 85% of the time. When I don't have the time to pull out my Macbook Pro my iPhone does a fine job, considering it is a phone.
With tools such as OmniFocus (GTD),WinAdmin(Remote Desktop Connection), GoFTP (To access and edit files online), OneDisk (To access my mobile me synced files) and basics such as notepad, mail, calendar the iPhone can do it all.
I agree that it's uses are certainly curtailed by the fact that it isn't as easy to complete certain tasks as it would be on my Macbook, but keeping in mind that it is a phone, I wouldn't expect to compare the two. In the end, the iPhone 3GS helps me Get the Job Done more often than not."
"Talk about lame: This article is lame! You're complaining about the trouble you had accessing GMail on your iPhone with the Safari web browser? Why didn't you just configure your iPhone to simply download your GMail to your phone like everyone else? Works great!
Apple never claimed that the iPhone is a substitute for a real computer. It's really an entirely new class of device that happens to include alot of functionality normally associated with computers. To use such a device intelligently (and successfully), one needs to know the device's strengths and weaknesses. Your article sounds like a car reviewer condemning a new car because it's not a bicycle. I can hear it now: "Well, it's got wheels, doesn't it?""

"messaging & data unlimited"
it's $15/mo for data unlimited
for the bb data plan it's $35/mo
more for 3g data plans
i'm using the mediamax bundle for $20 = unlimited medianet + 200 msgs/mo
but that means i can't use 99% of bb apps. have to use the medianet browser for pretty much everything.
