voice plan is pretty much the same..
the price difference is in the data plan.

 

I pay 163 a month for Verizon 2 phone lines, unlimited text, data plan and insurance

 

what's that feature call? and remember if you're getting a smart phone you gotta pick the right data plan for the right phone (iphone, blackberry, pda for windowsmobile)

 

berry has special data plan
and also iphone has a special data plan
both are $30 i think.

it's $15/mo for data unlimited

for the bb data plan it's $35/mo

more for 3g data plans

i'm using the mediamax bundle for $20 = unlimited medianet + 200 msgs/mo

but that means i can't use 99% of bb apps. have to use the medianet browser for pretty much everything.

 

the options i see are

Data Plan for iPhone $30.00 a month
BlackBerry® Personal $30.00 a month
Messaging & Data Unlimited $30.00 a month
PDA Personal $30.00 a month

so none of the data for smartphone includes messaging, and that third one is for dummy phones with web apps like what rawesome have.

keep your medianet and stop complaining about buying a smartphone then =oP

 

for window mobile phones, you can use the medianet to access everything =o) but supposedly they're cracking down on it. i had it for a year but upgraded since i was tethering like a motha, 2g+ of use a month with my phone, bwahaha.

i didn't know you have the option to select it for the bb, i know for "pda" phones they restrict it.

The smartphone data plan does not included messaging.

Non-smartphone include unlimited data and messaging. Very Weird.

Looks like i will stick to AT&T because their data plans are cheaper.
So my phone choices would be iphone / Blackberry bold / Nokia E71X / HTC Fuze

 

some apps used to work. but then i installed the update for the app and it stopped working. i'm also running on a really old version of their OS since the newer ones didn't handle japanese text (dunno about the ones out now).

the only app i miss is google maps w/ traffic info.

 

don't get the fuze, wait for the new htcs. if you're not in a rush there should be an andriod phone out soon.
