why would you want to do that? if you fail smog it gets logged in the dmv

Just go to a smog place with no certificate, meaning it doesn't get sent to the DMV. Or look for a highschool autoshop, my highschool up north had one.

For the test that is good - if you want what you asked about (and live in my area) Foothill and San Antonio in Upland - they are fast and cheap (been going there a few years)
