I NEED TO FIND A LOCAL 5 SPD TRANNY FOR MY 02 WRX. So hopefully someone on here may have one or knows someone that knows someone that knows someone that may possibly know someone that has one. Please let me know as I need to get my car moving asap. I need the tranny to be in good working condition and fairly cheap.

 

well mine fits one requirement

its a broken tail shaft. they never break unless you get towed

i know steve at aerosim can take mine and one of his broken 2nd gear ones and make a workign one

 

It'll take a few months and lots of calling though.

 

hmmmmm, i wonder if my guy @ Kaaz would be able to do it since i hear nothing but how slow Aerosim is. Hmmmmmmmm, Kaaz IS in Costa Mesa. *thinking* is your tranny taken apart mike?

and for teh record i knwo what they look like and i know what the parts are but i have no clue on how they work

 

it will drive your car but there is a clicking sound when you do

 

the tail shaft is what is causing the clicking? what did you replace the tranny with?

 

haha i screwed up and got another 5 speed
i have been told teh tail shaft is broken

i know it clicks

thats all i know

 

im looking to get a 6 speed non dccd

but then i will have two 5 speeds one that works and one that is half broken

 

if the tail shaft is seized there must be a gang of shiet messed up in the gear box. Next time I'm over let me take a look at it.

 

not siezed it still drives fine jsut the click

i think the out put shaft is the problem

well i have a perfect 5 speed in my car now that i wish was a 6 speed
