Of course you can take it in to the shop to get repaired but, that defeats the purpose of this thread. One thing you can do is purchase some factory touch up paint and paint the areas that are damaged. After it has dried(I think it takes like 24hours), get some polishing compound and buff the areas you have painted untill the paint starts to mix in together. Depending on how deep the scratches are you shhould be able to fix it to the point of where it is almost invisible. After that it's probably a good idea to wax the car to assure a good seal and protection on the areas. Sorry to hear about that man, and good luck.
