My Pearl Harbor thread.
OK, let's assume that's true. Let's assume we need the attack on Pearl Harbor to justify us going to war with Japan. How in the hell do you justify us persuading the American populace into storming the Atlantic Wall (Normandy beaches) practically hand built by Erwen Rommel (possibly the greatest tactican of the modern world)? How do you convince what was at the time an entire generation of males to strap up and do battle on a beach where at some points only 1 in 10 would survive (Pointe du Hoc Rangers)?
I know eventually you will reference 9/11.....please do. When that happened we sent Americas finest to the mountains of Afghanistan to kill al-Qaeda and their Taliban housekeepers. And surely after that you will reference Iraq, well congrats, that vote passed to 2 years after the fact of 9/11 putting America on a two front war which militarily, is walking a fine line.
The fact of the matter is is that Americans have been, and will always be a sympathetic people who will never tolerate human suffering of any kind for any amount of time. With or without Pearl Harbor, it was on for Japan and Germany, you have to be an idiot to believe otherwise.

This is all part of some psych project isn't it. First we didn't land on the moon, pearl harbor was a set up by the US......which is next? You start up all this then take stock of peoples reactions and measure which has a stronger response. Any guesses on what his next conspiracy theory is, the obvious BUSH let the Planes hit or something more creative?
For example:
How many of you own homes or the better question is how many can afford to buy a home. The prices of homes are so far out of reach that you cannot even comtemplate buying one.
Why, because the masses jumped on this real estate boom that was fabicated. Now there are over 1.5 million homes in forecloseure in America. This should not have to happen. It was the greed of the few who distroyed the future for many. At these prices anyone with a school loan will never be able to purchase a home. Don't build on your education you can't get the paying job to qualify for a home. You are stuck.
I had this conversation with some of you about 3 years ago (I think) telling them this was going to happen. While the papers were talking boom boom, I told them beware beware..
I only bring up awarness just a I do in tuning and what ever else we talk about. Those that want to hear, read those who don't just ignore my threads.
Simple as that. Stimulate the brain, it is good for you. If it hurts you to do that, you may be better off reading another thread.

Roosevelt used this tatic to motivate the people. Stalin used a row of machine guns. Charge and have the possibility to live, retreat and die for sure.
Once again these are fact of this world and let it be known that things are not as simple as you might think.

Secondly, I'm aware that things are not as simply as they seem. I'm also keenly aware of choices leaders have to make, notably combat decisions.
Motive is a matter of speculation and to say that we had a bunch of Japanese planes smash into million dollar destroyers filled with American sailors is a little far fetched. Think of it from this prespective. Do you really think that had the Japanese flown over and we swatted their fighters and bombers out of the sky like clay pigeons at shotgun contest we'd have had less of a chance of convincing the American public we need to go to war? Does Joe Bob listening to the radio in Kansas say "Honey, the **** attacked today but we cleaned house and whipped their *** so no need to go to war or get excited." Hell NO!!!! We'd have been all over it then too.
We didn't sacrifice a bunch of men with the "help" of the Japanese to get into a war. Do you honestly think that?

This is where the true meaning that those guys died for our freedom becasue I am quite sure if we had not entered the war, that Hitler would have taken over the world. This is part of leadership and the choices leader have to take.

This is the comment that you made. Many of men have been sacrifice. It has been a common practice in a lot of operations and it is suprising that you would not think it possible.
