maybe you had the sti short throw shifter already. That would require a different kartboy shifter than the standard wrx one.

i'm not sure what's up with my wrx. John seemed to think the linkage he saw in my car was unusual. Strange enough for him to ask if it was definitely a wrx and if i bought it new.

feeding my paranoia...

Some wrx does come with the 5-speed sti short throw shifter from the dealer.

In such case, you will need to use the kartboy GC8 ss. That's what I did under such scenario. GC8 short throw fits all mighty with the STi assembly.

i think i had to use an rs shifter. not 100% sure, but John found a kartboy lever that worked.

GC shifters will work fosho.
