Help me with a ticket
My girlfriend was driving on the streets in West Covina. She made a right turn on the corner. The corner even had a green arrow to say go so she went. She had to go since the arrow turn green. She even saw the cop why the hell whould she run a red light. . He follow her for a while. Then pulled her over and said she ran a red light. He didn't even notice the green arrow. I guess was trying to take advantage of my girl friend. I also know they are giving out more tickets, since Arnold took away the triple on registration.
I just wanted to know if ticketassiasan would be able to help. When it goes to court wouldn't it be a he said she said thing. Wouldn't the judge believe the cop. Since they get paid overtime if they show up in court. My girl really wantst to nail this dumb cop. Man can't do something better and go solve a crime.
Violation 22453 A Failure to stop at light.
He said he didn't see the green arrow. Since he already wrote the ticket he just gave it to her and told her she can fight it.
Thanks guys.

You sure it's a 22453? According to the CA Vehicle Code, 22453 is
[qoute]
Effect of Negligence on Passengers
22453. Failure of the driver of a motor vehicle carrying any passenger for hire to stop as required in Section 22452 shall not be imputed to any bona fide passenger for hire in such vehicle.
[/quote]
If the officer did put it as 22453, I'd argue that he gave a false citation and the ticket be expunged (if that's even the right term). Otherwise, take a picture of the intersection showing that there is a green arrow. Then grill the SOB and ask if he's familiar with the area. Then have him describe the traffic lights at that particular intersection. Hopefully the idiot will omit the "green arrow" and that's when you can screw him over. Present the picture in front of his face and have him describe in front of the judge. Good luck!

I'm bored at work, so I did a little reading up. I think you meant to put in 21453 and not 22453. If that's the case, if your gf had passed the lines marking the limit of the crosswalk, then he can pretty much have his way with you. It then comes down to he said she said where he would pretty much win unless you could bring down his credibility. The only way to do that is to see if there have been any complaints made against him for lying.
After reading all that crap, I just realized that I'm guilty of 21453(b). I think a good number, if not all of us are guilty of that one.

Well the ticket says
22453A Vc-Failure to stop at light.
Well she was behind another car so she is sure it turn green. He didn't seem like he knew anything about that corner have a green arrow for a right turn. He's just being an *******. Which most cops are. Been pulled over a few times.
For stupid ****. I hope we can win becuase she knows she didn't do anything wrong. If she did then she would just pay for it.

Well, go to http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/vc/vctoc.htm and that should help you out. But since it wasn't a typo, the cop has no chance of winning now. IMO, he wrote a ticket for a law that doesn't exist. If he wins, I sure as hell would like to know the reasoning behind that.
Be sure to bring what would have been a current copy of the CA Vehicle Code during the date the ticket was issued with you.

Use http://www.ticketassassin.com/ and fight it by mail.
