If I tap the gas it goes away for a bit.

not familiar with the boxer layout, but on an inline 4 white smoke usually signifies that you're burning coolant. Usually caused by the headgasket not giving a proper seal.
white smoke = coolant
black/blue ish smoke = oil
or i could be wrong all together *shrugs*

I did the towel on the tail pipe thing and I didn't get any thing. Left it there for a while too.
Summary...
-White smoke while idling but not while driving.
-No Coolant consumption.
-No oil in the reservior tank.
-If I tap the gas it goes away.
-No signs of any leaks anywhere. Used a light colored rug under the car.
I'm going to pull the plugs and IC as soon as I get a chance to see how it looks.

I know i'm burning oil for a fact now. I took off a peice of my exhaust and it had a thin layer of oil. What should I do? Is there any other way of knowing if I have a blown head gasket besides the oil in the reservior?

Try a thicker oil too. I'm a strong believer in 5-40 or 5-50 for our boxer/turbo engines.
