I just ordered an extra gig myself. I can't justify buying TWO gigs.. 1.25 is good enough for now. Maybe when my bonus comes
By the way, congrats! And welcome to the Apple family.

Hmm.. not willing to pay the premium for black, but you have extra RAM already!

200 dollars for hardware seems more "real" than 200 dollars for color.

2G of RAM is more than I need for the MacBook, at least for now. Once I find the time to do more photo editing or work with Garage Band, I'll pick up another gig.
Are you using iChat AV yet?

My brother's been playing around with Garage Band... He says it's much better working on the MacBook than the PowerBook, which makes sense. I'm going to install BootCamp this weekend or the next. If you beat me to it, let me know the install went.

I used to be strictly a PC guy. Once I started this job, about 2 years ago, I had to work on Macs. All the software we develop is for graphic designers so our main market is the Mac market. At first I hated it but now I don't think I'll buy another PC ever again, since the Intel Macs can be dual boot. Also with Parallels ( http://www.parallels.com/en/products/workstation/mac/ ) you can run Windows with OS X. It's a lot like Virtual PC but is much faster because it's not simply a translator.
