Feeler: Suby may be up for sale soon..
I'm curious. why would you not want to take advantage of 0% interest for as long as possible?
I think, If they offer 5 year you should take 5 years.
Whether you pay the car off in 1 year, 2 years or 3 years that's your own decision.
But there's nothing to loose on taking the longest term possible on 0% interest.

This question is for Jerry!
Since you owe 17k on the STI. How much would it cost for you to refi your current loan to get a lower payment?
Vs.
Trading in your car, eating the difference and financing a new Fit?
I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, are you trying to make so your monthly payment isn't high, or you are just sick of your car?

The refi option, they will only allow me to get the damn thing down to like just a hair under 500.. My target is to be around 250 max, because I have other plans. I dunno, worst case, maybe I'll just sell the car and share the GF's car for a while and take my time playing around with my options, which I'm totally cool with. I just want out of my damn loan on the STi. It's totally not worth it to me anymore and I'm just letting the car goto waste because I don't drive it like it "should" be driven.

Both are correct actually. I'm a bit sick of it and want a beater to (be it leased, or financed) put around in, so I can get around. I would even look at getting something used. As for down payment, I'll prolly be putting down 4-5k.

If your current company don't give you bad apr, can you try another company?
It's all good... I don't drive it like I should... I drive my car to the supermarket, to run, to bike, to swim, to hike... and while I am on the mountain I drive around the speed limit because I am either too sleepy or too tired to drive fast... still loving it... except that one time my fuel pump went back haha.

Sounds like you're ready for a simpler life right now, Jerry. If I had money lying around, I'd buy your STI to daily drive
Anyway, good luck with the sale. It's not a seller's market, but like someone said earlier, it's a great time to buy.
