hmm ok $700 sound reasonable.. but still alot of money..
and i have to agree that HID housing project better beam because it's design for it..
but for function vs price.. i rather buy real HID even thou it's not HID housing rather than running halogen

as for cheapo taiwan stuff.. i rather throw my money down the drain then buy those.. they look good in picture.. but suck in quality.. i know i'm taiwanese..i think alot of bug eye owner can probabily agree with those cheaply made bug eye projector housing.. from taiwan..

function vs price?? like I jus said u get wut u pay for...i kno u'd rather buy hid's rather than buy take-offs, cuz u've already done so...and if u dont care about beam pattern, then yes, ur good....i like to do things right the first time...and nothing beats oem quality...this goes for the bulbs and ballasts as well as headlight housing...i guess u forgot that u could simply buy the take-offs for $675., install them on ur car, and sell ur stock headlights to recover some of the losses...and if ur lucky, u'd get back about $300-$400 for ur stock headlights, and
u'd end up paying just $300 for the HID's, which is how much aftermarket kits cost anyways, but this time, u actually got real JDM ones, cleared out, and stock HID's in some headlights made for HID's, thus perfect beam pattern...and, if ur good with wiring, u can even hook up the headlight beam adjuster...

whatever. stop flaming the thread john..
i'm not here to argue about beam pattern or what not..
sti ppl care about that. cuz they already got HID..
WRX ppl think differently..not everyone want to shell out all that money for lighting systems..
plus.. if u get JDM HID u have 4800k 4300k either one i forgot..
and i wanted blue/white HID.. 8000k which is what i got..
so i'm happy with it.. so i don't really care.. not like i'll be living with his car forever..so whatever works for now it's cool... there is always the next car..
