just get some USDM or JDM ones complete with housings...remember, anything above 4300k and u start to lose any usable light...i'll bet all those people with 8000k + hids are crying right now cuz they cant see jack in the rain...

i'm running 7000k HID.. in the heavy rain it's definately hard to see without any road reflector on the ground
but i remember with my old car.. even with halogen it was hard to see.
but anyways as long as it looks good..
or if one day hid housing drop in price.. i'll change it.. = p
i rahter spend that money on suspension

I think it will be years before hid hosing drops in price

you get wut u pay for...wrx housings werent made for hid's, so the lighting will not compare to those housings that are made for them...next time we meet up, we can park side by side and do a quick comparison...eddie, im not tryin to knock ur hid's...jus thought i'd point that out...

Subaru should make hid's as an option for the wrx. For those who want them and don't have the money to buy an sti.

^^yea ryt...u guys are already *****in about paying $300 for a retro set now and wont even fork out the cash for takeoffs...i highly doubt u'd pay dealer cost for them...

retro fit cost more than that.. just paying for the projector will cost you 400-700$ depend on quality..
buying JDM take off is $700+
and that's only the housing.. we not even talking about getting bulb and ballist
that's big price difference..
it's just like getting JDM fog light..
it's big investment and for most ppl it's not worth the money.

What are u talkin about man?? I never said anything about projectors...i was talkin about those cheapo taiwanese HID kits that u can get on ebay...and...$700 for some Take offs WILL INCLUDE hid bulbs and ballasts...if anyone pays $700 for housings only, they are crazy...matter of fact, jdmpartstx has JDM cleared out HID Take offs for only $675 shipped!!!
