Which way are you turning?
Kym is right some sand paper around the finish might help with the kung fu grip.
I have an oil filter wrench but I'm at the track right now.
You can be ghetto and poke a screwdriver thru to turn it, but be careful not to get the handle stuck on the sub frame.

Oh man, I had some really bad experiences when my oil filter was on too tight. Couldn't get it off with anything, whether it be vice grips, or an oil filter wrench. Finally my brother was able to save my Suby by getting one of the long phillips head screw drivers, puncturing the filter right through the middle (make sure you go through the core) and twisting and using that to twist the filter off. This should only be done as last resort though.
