just installed the TurboXS downpipe (thats one huge pipe!) and universal cat-back adapter pipe.

VERY noticable performance gain! but i didnt get a CEL. i was expecting to get the cat inefficiency CEL but havent.

i purchased the CEL fix but it wont be here till tomorrow...

shouldnt i have gotten a CEL?

so its not a 100% guarantee to throw a CEL when you take out the cats?

so i have nothing to worry about?

 

i would'nt worry it also might take a while too. but mine has been there for a long while. the only thing that happens when u remove the cats is it runs rich but thats o.k. and safe. even if it does through a cel that doesn't mean its going to hurt your car. mine runs rich off the chart now i need to lean it out to about 11:1 at wot and i might get more power out of it. last time i made 210 hp & 212 tq at the wheels i thought that was good for still running the stock ecu and just running 15.5 psi boost and no cats. ran a 13.4 @ 101 at carlsbad a while back so i was happy with that. not bad for so little mods. been to busy to get a utec or something but then again i have a sti coming soon. just thought this info would be interesting for u. yeah, im runnin the UTEC so i can control just how rich im running..

guess i was just worried why i had'nt gotten a CEL yet.

dont know if i should install the resistor fix or just leave it until i get a CEL. either way, its good to hear that i should be worried about it.
