$1300 installed for HKS Carbon-Ti Exhaust, downpipe and uppipe
I just went to my local performance shop in California, Under Pressure Fabrication and Distribution (714) 890-5153. They quoted me $1300 for the HKS Carbon-Ti Exhaust $950, HKS downpipe $195, and HKS uppipe $190. That is the installed price. The total parts price is $1335, but I guess they are hooking me up. What do u guys think about that? Is this a good deal? Did anyone else get a better deal? Should I do it?
you can get that HKS car-ti new for $700~750ish... hks downpipe around $185ish, hks up-pipe around $160~180ish... so that is about $1000~1200ish just in parts... installing up-pipe is 2~4 hours, installing down-pipe and cat-back is hour if everything fixs perfectly... so 3~5 hours of labor... labor rate in southern cali is around $50 per hour (at least it used to be... up here in northern cali is $70
).. so between $150~250ish for labor... so total is $1150~1450ish... $1300 isn't bad in my opinion...
BUT, if you buys the parts used and let them install it... it would be cheaper i think... i've seen a lot of used hks car-ti on sale these days on forums... you can save yourself couple hundred if you can find used parts for turboback (downpipe and cat-back) and get a new up-pipe (don't recommand getting used up-pipes because that thing gets warped)... that is just my opinion... good luck and the most important thing is now how much you spend.. it is how happy you are with your mods...
i am thinking about replacing my hks car-ti... so if you decide to goto 2nd route let me know... (shamless plug

basically those parts cost them $800 at their cost. they are charging their percentage plus labor. hmm. $200 in percentage and $300 labor. something along the lines of that. i can do it cheaper and better. pm me if your interested.
Yeah, thats expensive. Have you considered the regular SS Hiper and not the Carbon/Ti? Functions the same, carbon ti has more bling to it. Let a shop do the up-pipe as it is the hardest mod you have listed. The downpipe and catback is cake. Just letting you know in advance that setup will be LOUD. Not a good thing here in so.cal.
