Lightbulb RPS MAX Series Clutch Special - $1150 WRX, $1300 STI Installed!

This is your chance to get a great price on a great clutch!

RPS has been my favorite clutch since the first time I drove one a couple years ago. Since then we've installed many units in customer cars as well as our own cars and everyone has nothing but great things to say about them.

The MAX series street disc clutches offer a great compromise of daily drivability and strong clamping force. Most people note that these clutches engage at least as smoothly as the OEM clutch, but with a more predictable pedal stroke. Pedal pressure is barely increased over stock, but the clutch is capable of holding up to 475ft-lbs! While in daily driving, the clutch acts nicely, it will also respond very well to more extreme driving conditions, launching, fast shifting, etc.

As an example, when I bought my personal 06 STI, I was very unhappy with the factory clutch as it didn't want to grab aggressively on quick shifts. Instead it would always slip just a bit, making it very difficult to get really nice, clean, aggressive shifts. Soon we swapped in the RPS Max Series clutch and now I can chirp 2nd gear anytime I want and the clutch puts up with all my abuse without a problem .

Pricing:

02-05 WRX 5MT - $1150 Installed ($1300 Regular Price)

04-07 STI 6MT - $1300 Installed ($1450 Regular Price)

Flywheel and transmission fluid options also available with no extra labor charge. Please give us a call for any questions.

Thanks

Sorry, there is currently no RPS clutch available for the 06/07 5MT. Give us a call for pricing on an ACT clutch.

Thanks

We can re-surface it but generally don't recommend it. I have a lightened flywheel option available for an extra $250.

Just out of curiosity, why is that? In the shops I've worked at I've never seen it recommended to not surface a flywheel (unless the flywheel is being replaced). Then again, most clutch jobs I've seen or done are usually on a car that the customer has driven to the point that there are obvious burn marks, glazing or heat spots on the flywheel surface .

Most of the flywheels we pull out have a good deal of hot spots. Also some of the Subaru flywheels are already very close to minimum spec, so when you re-surface you end up going bellow spec. Its just usually not worth it when you can get a new flywheel for about a $200 difference.

Thanks
