good day guys. i have this wrx wagon for about a year now. no mods, just new wheels on it, thats it. for the last three months, i had 3 check engine lights. brought it to the dealer. first time, they told me that it was my gas cap. i did not believe that because i don't think i am that dumb. second time, they said it was my vacuum hose going to the carbon canister. now it is the third time. i don't know what the heck is wrong with it.
feedbacks pls. tnx.

actually a loose gas cap will trigger a cel in some cases. i've seen it happen. but anyway, i would just keep going to the dealer or another shop you trust and have it checked when the light comes on. i have never worked on another car that triggers cel's as much as a suby. some would disagree with me, but thats just what i have noticed.

thanks for the response x-1. well i am sorry but what is cel? have you heared of other cases like my cars?
by the way, does 92 rated gas from chevron really makes a difference, or is this one of the culprit? 2 months the problem started, i consistently score my gas from 92 stickered pump.
tnx. regards...

"cel" means "check engine light", they tell each new sube owner to ensure that the gas cap is on way tight or else the CEL will come on. I have never used the 92 octane but I doubt that that would cause a check engine light. Just make sure that gas cap is on super tight and keep *****in at the suby guys at the dealership.
Hope I helped
