Suggestion for making i-club faster
On other forums such as clubrsx, there is a 75 page limit to threads, because anything after that puts way too much stress on the server and slows the entire site down. I've noticed that some threads, such as the sitings thread, are several hundred pages long. Do you think if we implement a cap onto the number of pages threads can be, it will help make the site run faster? It isn't that hard to do, just make a new thread after one hits a certain number. . . I really think that it will help speed up the site.

This is a very valid point that ridiculously long threads do put a strain on the DB server. There are also a few other things that do this as well.
We however have come up with a different solution to make the site faster. A new ridiculously over powered DB server that should be able to handle anything we can throw at it times two. This is in addition to our already extensive technology infrastructure. It will be installed in the next couple weeks
