A suggestion

For those who buy parts from vendors here.

When you order, let them know that you found out about them through I-club. I'm sure the vendors would appreciate knowing how you learned about them and Alex would also appreciate it.

Click on the Vendor's member Profile. You can assign a Trader rating. The Vendor can also do the same for you, as a good customer. Alex implemented this last year. Please just be certain that each Trader rating is for an actual transaction, not for the purposes of showing popularity or Vendor 'pride', thanks.

I think you're missing the point of my post. When a vendor picks up the phone and gets an order from Joe Smith, Joe also mentions that he heard about the vendor from I-club. Vendor is happy with I-club.

Now Joe Smith is also "MrWRX" on I-club. He can give the vendor a favorable trader rating but how often does a vendor actually check the trader rating and try to correlate that to a sale of the same part to Mr. Smith? I'm betting he doesn't. If Joe didn't tell the vendor that he's from I-club or what his screen name is then there is no positive feedback for I-club.

Many of these vendors are on other boards as well and identifying ourselfs as I-clubbers when we spend our dollars is good for I-club.

Yes, I missed the point. I just re-read your first post and now I understand and agree with your position. You're right - it's good for the Vendors and i-Club to know that i-Club can generate business for Vendors and sponsors.

It's rare when I order any subie parts by phone from i-Club vendors. I handle all transactions online. I ask questions of the Vendors by PM so they know me as Wingless Wonder. Much of what I order is done over their secure transaction pages or via PayPal. When I've received my order, I give each Vendor a positive Trader Rating (never had a problem with any i-Club vendor).
