New front page layout
We have been moving around the front page a bit. We are still working on the top graphic/banner to make it all fit nicely, but other than that, how do you guys like the layout and new features section?
We have decided to go with no side banner on the front page for a clean look or more information within direct view

More contructive critism would be usefull. We have new features to add and thats why it had to be changed. We needed the 520x210 banner placement, new features section, and news. We wanted to keep the i-club vendors and latest threads. We originally were going to have a 120x600 side banner, but we removed that in an effort to keep it with a cleaner look.
As I mentions, the top graphic is still under construction, so ignore that

No kidding. Change is good. It make take you a bit to get used to it but when hasn't a forum change been hard to swallow at first. Sure, there's a couple things I would change as mentioned in the other thread on the forum layout. But one thing's for certain: A lot of you have been complete *****es regarding the changes being made here.

Better input.....how so. Forgetting thats its just different, and any change from the expected takes time to get reaquainted with. For example, if you were coming to the site for the first time, how could it be more user friendly?
We did some things to try and make it more friendly. For example:
-A clear userCP box and search at top right
-Menu navigation AND welcome box navigation so users can use which works best for them.
-The recent threads will be customizeable so that users can choose specifically which sections will show up in the box. For example, you could set it so only threads from BAIC and EJ25T tech show up in there
