Chat

I think it could use a simple chat box for users online under the header and tabs. Simple but useful for quick communication. Just a suggestion.

Hey guys!

Thank you for the note. We have not seen it work well with our communities. Instead of being used as a quick way to converse, it quickly ends up being an opportunity to flame and harass in real time. In addition chat streams are very hard to moderate the content. (excessive profanity etc.)

We can add a feature that will stream live new threads and posts. Would that be of interest to the community?

Bob..

This may be a bit much, but what about utilizing the friends system and allowing a chat with only online friends? Sort of like facebook chat that just hangs out at the bottom?
