CAREFUL driving out there folks...
at our work (cal state hayward), word as passed down from the top that CHP is recommending people to go home NOW since the weather is gonna get worse...
looks like the storm of the century is happening for the next 48 hours...

I hope it does, just 'cause it's been a total letdown so far. Just a smattering or rain and a light breeze; this'll never cover PG&E cutting power to 40,000 people...
news reports say friday morning commute will suck as heck.
plus from 8am fri to 8am sat, going up to tahoe WILL BE more suckier. road closures predicted. white outs... etc...

where I used to live a normal winter was 120 plus winds but areas that are not used to that will have trees going down. Keep your eyes out and hands on the wheel if you are out driving in it. Have candles handy incase power does go out.

just drove from SF to Redwood City, man this storm is nuts. the winds were pushing me around like crazy and there were sketchy puddles everywhere. granted this was from 4:15am-5am...
drive safe on your commute this morning everyone. it's gonna be a nutty weekend.
