From Santa Clara to SSF was insane! I shouldn't have driven in. Only lost steering once for a split second. Saw a Minivan on the side of the road before 92. Asymmetric tires ftw?

Pt Reyes just clocked a 72mph gust AT SEA LEVEL!

Some areas have already gotten over 8" of rain! Mind you the heaviest rain is still to come.

wow news said later today truckee area could get 6-8 inches of snow an hour. So yeah I would stay home too.

For sure more rain to come our area hit hardest they say around noon like I said and should see it slowing down around 4pm. Be safe everyone and for those that are driving watch for the random water pools and other drivers.

wow 100,000 people out of power now and just saw san francisco is getting wind gusts of 60 already.

Drove from Sac to Berkeley this morning...in my hardtop Miata. One downed big rig and lots of hydroplaning. I was worried about other drivers being able to see me in such a low car, so I stayed in the fast lane with the wind pushing all the spray into the slower lanes. Everyone did a pretty steady 60 and thankfully the peeholes who normally speed in the rain took the day off.

we're expecting 6 inches of rain which is nutty.

There's already a river flowing over the highway up from me on summit road. Road closed. My driveway is barried.

There's like 30 incidents in monterey/santa cruz areas on chp's site.

nuts.
