WTB (buy or borrow): Chains for stock 07' WRX Tires

Going up to Tahoe next weekend and it looks like it should be dumping (finally!) I've never had a problem with the chain control there with AWD and all season tires but you never know. Last thing I want to do is pay up the *** for some on the road. If someone has a set I could borrow for the weekend or would want to part with on the cheap that would fit the stock 07 WRX tires (215/45 17) I'm very interested (would donate a nice 6'er for lending them). Get back to me!

Thanks!

Should add I'm located in downtown SF but would have no problem meeting up most anywhere in the area.

yeah caltrans website says even if you have all seasons or snows, you still have to carry chains. not necessarily use them, but carry them at least.

Yup, exactly why I'd like to have a set to keep in the trunk. I've been up there in bad weather before and been waved through for AWD but now that I live in the area (moved up from SoCal in Oct) I might as well have a set.

U don't use chains on our cars, per Subaru. Cables only on front tires if you have to use anything.

Appreciate it but I'm going to buy pignose's off him so I can just leave them in my trunk. Thanks!

Haha that's what I meant. Just used to calling them chains. You did answer my next question about which tires to put them on since I was pretty sure the front made the most sense. thanks!
