A little update for ya.

The motor is back together, but we're going to see if we and get a new right intake cam gear and ss oil feed line.

Right now the big stopper is the line. Other than that everything is going good.

Pat should have some new pics for everyone soon.

fu<king FP didn't provide Pat with info about the oil feel line to the FP Green!! The stock line sure as hell doesn't reach without some MAJOR re-bending (which isN't going to happen!)
So now it's off to Hydra Air to get a SS line fabed, and get some fittings. That fu<king pisses me off!!!!!!! We would have finished!

Anyhow, the Greddy fmic is the R spec, not the 'usual' V spec, ..... so the bumber beam had to be Hacked to HELL! The whole beam was cut out obviously, and the sides had to be cut out completely to allow the piping to line up with the inlet/outlets. !!!! I was grinding and sawzaw-ing for a while!! The cutting on the actual bumper cover isn't all that bad, it actually sits higher than other kits.
Overall, I like the Greddy R spec kit a lot. It's just the damn 'cutting the metal' part that is kinda a PITA.

Even though we're not complete, I can see the light. I'm terribly optimistic and know that even though I won't be able to see much boost for quite a while, the immediate differences will be a big kick.

I want to thank (now and when we're done) everyone who's shown up to lend a hand, lend some tools, provide some moral support, or say hi...and for just getting your hands dirty in general.

I called this morning. They said that the stock line just needs some bending.

They said they make Hydra Air lines for this for $65.

I'm going to need a 10mm and a 12mm banjo bolt & fitting. The hose they use is dash 4. Didn't seem a big concern for hose size, though, which tells me that they've probably never metered the amount of oil that this turbo requires. I think I'm going to fully appreciated the turbo timer.

 

Thats kinda funnt that they didn't recommend that oil line pat When i ordered my 18G the guy said it was highly recommened on the 18G And 18G ain't got $h!T on the green

You've already contributed more than I expected from anyone. No one owes it to me to lend a hand. I am really touched when someone just stops by to lend moral support, let alone get their fingernails dirty.

How do you repay people for this act of charity? I know someone will respond to that with a joke or something, but I'm totally serious. I know that everyone are car junkies who love doing this, but no matter what, I can't relay my deep, heartfelt appreciation.

Hey SeanMikeChrisDanRalphMario: is part number 13044 on this page? I'd like to get the one off of the wrecked car Ralph knows about, but he said that it all depends on whether the block is cracked or not. I'm gonna call George and at least see if they don't happen to have one of those on hand.

 

Man i was thinking of that part being more expensive.

 

George is off today. The guy I spoke to says that they're not on hand and they cost $106 all together (seems a bit more than what's posted on the subaruparts.com website).
