Ok, take the personal ish elsewhere. Por favor. Nothing personal to either party, I just want to keep this centered around my situation for the moment. Thanks :-)

That includes, PURIST, Maxd, etc.
Not that I don't appreciate legitimate contributions to this thread, but please keep focus. Bash all you want on another thread. :-)

Thanks for clearing out all the useless BS Egan.

Jon, I really hope you work something out with Weston and get the car back on the road. I'm sure Paul can fix the wiring which I believe was causing most of the issues during the tune. From what I remember, the car would not drive smoothly no matter what and the ECU picked up false knock especially when the clutch was engaged/disengaged even under normal driving conditions. I've seen similar things in other cars that was later resolved by cleaning up wiring and bad grounds.

Paul, I didn't mean any offense by stating you had not responded. Just filling in some info and trying to help you guys get this car back in order. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Thanks

The sale of this car was sketchy on the sellers part from the get go. He knew it was hosed. That was the reason he sold it . Minor damage does not equal major damage. Frankly when you're talking close to totaled, that's pretty damn major. The right thing to do would have been eat your loss, take it back to stock, selling your parts, and trading it into the dealer. They could have wholesaled it. Not trying to salvage every last penny he put into it. So what if the car made 300whp. It was a POS. The combination of the mods was wrong, shady work was perfomed, tuner stated it had many problems and was instucted to tune it so it could be sold. It's just plain dishonest and petty. The seller is all over the map with different statements. Obviously can not be trusted. To the seller;

You're freakin' sad....

Thanks

No offense taken.

It would be interesting to know if all of that lovely wiring was in place when it was tuned?

It most definitely was. Actually the first time they brought me the car after the rebuild, there was so much electrical noise, the ECU would just pull timing all over the place at all times no matter what I did with the tune. I sent it back with instructions to clean up any potentially bad wiring and grounds. When it came back it was a bit better but still had many of the same issues... looking at that mess of wiring I'm really not surprised.
