good find..
To prevent this from happening in the future I'm going to just keep in mind that my car wasn't designed to run on the mods I have, so I need to keep an eye on everything and never take the fact that it runs so beautifully for granted.

i like how paul started in, right when it ended

The other day I was on the freeway and it seized up on me midst an sti-destroying 4th gear pull... turns out there was only about 0.5 quarts of oil in there. My fault for not checking it more frequently, but the question is: WHERE DID MY OIL GO???

You're too funny.... look at the post date... 2006! That was when we were getting our shop together. Again, we parted ways very shortly after that due to disagreements on how to run the shop.
I'm not too sure what you're trying to prove with all your sleuthing... I'm just trying to provide the current customer with as much info as possible and help him out any way I can. I also mentioned that the car had mechanical issues when it was brought to me... why in the world would I say that about a shop I was directly affiliated with? Maybe you should use your detective powers to help out the current owner instead of trying to dig up what you believe to be dirt on me
Thanks

As for the rest, once I got it back from the shop I decided I wanted to sell it. The shop installed the motor and the gauges (I never even thought to check out their wiring after the install) and I figured it was in good shape (several thousand dollars of parts and labor, I didn't think that was a bold assumption). The tune came back as the graph showed. When I was driving the car around it felt fine and never threw a code, and I never had problems with the alarm. I'm trying to help Jon out and I've been in contact with him through all this to provide any information to help.
I don't want to get in the middle of a shi* tossing contest, but some of the information on here is false. I'm not a mechanic and I didn't personally inspect the car before I sold it, but it gave me no trouble after the tune and I had just spent thousands for a "professional" shop to put the car back into what I assumed would be great shape after the engine blew. I probably should have caught the exhaust leak and I apologize (again) that I didn't Jon. As for the misfire and the alarm there was just no reasonable way for me to have foreseen those problems.

I'm still reading this through for the first time, but I'm surprised at this comment the most. Every ad I posted for this car said that it was in a car accident. The damage was all covered by insurance and the car was never totalled; I absolutely never told Jon that the car hadn't been wrecked. Even in the eBay ad someone posted here it says that the car was crashed once.

Its really weird because I just got a text from Weston telling me that no Transmission work was done to this car, other than clutch, and flywheel. I am confused? Why would he have told me that??

Every post said there was damage yes. But it was only "some cosmetic damage".
Not as referenced in the post earlier...almost totaled??? WOW. That is significantly different from what I was led to believe.

I'm staying away from the whole tuning discussion here, as I think the car being near-totalled, the intermittent CEL's you mentioned on other boards, wiring issues, etc, are the larger area of concern.
Weston, there is no way you can claim one hand that you had 16k in damage, mechanical impacts all the way into the tranny and motor, and say that it's "cosmetic damage". That's a ****ty thing to hide at any point in the transaction, let alone when you're selling a car to an enthusiast. There is no way to reconcile those two statements.........so which one is the lie?
(That's a rhetorical question, as I wouldn't believe your answer.)
