your racing it with only 1000 miles on the car, or am i not getting what you said. arnt you supposed to wait a few thousand miles or are new engines ok to race right away.

Manual says to keep it under 4k for the first 1k miles. Also says not to go a steady speed for long distances.

I set the rev warning for 5k and my wife is the primary driver just around town so it got broken in properly except for the dumb sales rep that beat on it cold with 33 miles on the test drive.

What an @$$. 20 year old fresh out of the army. Didn't even know what a k&n was when I stole it out of my trade-in along with the floor mats and the trailer hitch :-)
