no, its just a rarity for a n00b to make the daily thread, it usually takes people a few months to figure out why the SRIC needs a thread to tell them what day it is. Supposedly they had SRIC bylaws at one time, but I think paul smeared it with squirrel blood after killing a squirrel on his way to work in the morning

Someday, people will figure out that it works better to make jokes about somebody that you're familiar with in person.
Today is not that day.
We nuked the bylaws becuase idiots were spamming the thread with retarded old jokes thinking they were funny. The daily thread exists as a legacy to how the forum started, in a single thread, and to hopefully allow somewhat on-topic discussions in other threads.
You can see how well that works with the bunch of mouthbreathing sycophants and idiots around these days
