Actually, the pool and backyard drain just fine. The problem is that the creek backed up through my landscape drains and back up the pool's overflow drain. It's all receded now and the pool is sitting about 1.5" below the deck now. Until the creek recedes downstream of my house, we still face some problems.
For those of you that have walked to M&M from my house, pretty much everything between here and there is under water. The white house at the end of the block in pic #6 is totally flooded.

So far Natomas is hanging in there. The intentional "Flood me first" features of our local parks are doing their job as each park looks like a small lake (well the parts that are supposed to).
My other home in Vacaville has water up to the porch and a bit in the driveway but is OK. Creeks are what you have to watch for and she lives by a creek (Grandmother).
