I also still doubt that, that cop was there for you... maybe if you LEFT in your suby, then when you came back he was sitting there. Why would he just randomlly show up and sit on the corner, when he doesn't even know when/if you are going to leave for the day

and im always going to school or work, or comming home from school in the afternoons, so it would make sense.
