so I'm running AdAware on a machine and it says it is "deep scanning" the registry. And I wonder if the registry is okay with being "deep scanned".

You'll just have to have an assertive chat with the registry and convince it to discuss its feelings of being violated, and with AdAware to learn about respecting personal space...

Have you tried "hijack this"?
