Wouldn't a "hillbillie" be defined as the name implies? Lives in the hills/moountains?

Negative, GhostRider. While a "hillbilly" is a distant relative of the "Red Neck", it is seldom, if ever, is seen out side of it's prefered range of The Ol' South. Whereas "Red Necks" can be found in virtually every state.
Furthermore, Hillbillies are quite passionate with the term "hillbilly" and do not use it flippantly.
