Where to get wiring kit

Hey all I trying to find a wiring kit to install a stander radio I have till we can afored a better Cd player in the Legacy. The area were the radio is suppost to be was ripped out so the stoage slot and the pplace where raido slides in is gone just the cup holder and ash tray are still there. all the wiring is clean and the plugs are there so just need to find a patch kit to hook all in mostly the speakers as i figuer the power out. the radio is a Blaupunkt AM/FM Cassette it just a temp fix till I can find good CD system.
If you know agood place other than Fry's let me know.

You can get a cd player for 100 bucks now, not sure how much a wiring kit costs.

any place that installs stereos can sell you an adapter to go from the subaru plug to bare wires. The radio you purchase should have it's own harness. Join these two together and your set.

Try the Best Buy install bay. Cost is less than $20.

Ok well I went to Best Buy,Circuit City ,Kragen and AutoZone none carried Kits for the Subaru just GM and ford and Chrysler ,Honda and Toyota and even Hyundai.

I had the guy go to the install bay and look i even drove around to the back at Best Buy not wiring kit not even in a system and there looks at my wiring too.

May drive out to Fry's if I really get hard up as I see full kits there with the frames and all so I know they have them.. but I just don't want to drive out there.. I think I call some of the Shops I know install stereos like R4ND0M_AX3 said.

You know I just can't believe with all the Subaru's I see out there that the places I went to did carry them in stock. one guy said I should try Radio shack..ya right..sorry I worked there at one time I know what they have and they are not going to have a a wiring kit for a 1990 Subaru Legacy L wagon, heck I went to online parts place for JC Whitney and Parts America and they had no Kit for the Subaru. Circuit City did look at all of the Subaru's listed in their computer but no 1990 Legacy of any kind.

the guys at Best Buy kept thinking that one of the Honda kits would work but they took kits off the wall to check against the wires in the wagon and even grabbed a n open system and could not fine Subaru listed in A new stereo system. but this is Best Buy so I'm not 100% they know everything so off to a stereo install shop via the phone to save on gas.

OK all Thanks

If you need it fast then just cut the factory connector off and use a bunch of butt connectors. It will look terrible but it will work.

ok well found a place that had the wiring kit but I hooked every thing up and well I'm not sure why but the radio I have see not to be getting enough power to run. I get a a very low light from the clock and that is it.. I did manage to blow the 15 amp fuse(a wire sliped and got crossed) but I replaced that. and my meter said I getting power but I not sure why this radio won't power up... it has been sitting around in its box for some time.

wires off radio are red yellow black and a blue on the power side
the speakers are stander purpple's and grays and whites.

May have to wait till I can get a shop to look at it..

Ok thanks all
