Wheels/Tires or Springs?

which is better for improving handling? specifically, I'm looking at the Perrin lowering springs and a good alignment or some rota's with decent performance tires (prolly one of the available subydude tires).

i'll only have enough to by one of the two.

FWIW on my Mustang about $1,200 worth of tires lowered my lap times more than $15K in suspension...

With that being said I think the car will look like *** if it has nice wheels/tires and is not lowered.

matt's car kinda looked like *** with nice wheels/tires at stock height. but those were silver sub-zero's on a yellow car

ben's car actually looked pretty pimpin with his wheels and i'm pretty sure he's running the stock suspension. had enough grip to scare the isht out of me.

wheels and tires.
Get the springs later.
Your going to have to buy new tires if you get bigger rims.

Tires will help the most. Wheels will help open up possibilities in tire compounds and wider sizes. I'd worry about springs last.

Plus a lowered car on stock wheels and tires looks about as ghetto as multi colored body panels and altezzas.

In all seriousness, tires will make the most dramatic difference in handling.

+1 for tires and springs. Get something grippy like Goodyear GSD3s or S03s (yes, I know I have panned the GSD3s, but that's as track/autocross tires, which you don't do). 16" performance tires plus $199 eibachs will get you farther than wheels+tires or springs seperately.
