Club hoppers in Barcelona, Spain, now use the microchip much like a smartcard to speed drink orders and payment.
Now THERE's a good application for this.

Everybody new it was coming. I don't think they’ll put it under our skin. Think about if it was under your skin and you had to get your hand scanned. All those times your hand gets scanned you might just get skin cancer due to the radiation from the scanners.

I don't mind stuff like this as long as I decide when someone can access the data on it. Same thing with fastrak toll trasnponders and the whole RFID buzz.
