I'd seriously stay the eff out of North Highlands.

And this is coming from a guy who lives in Rosemont, off Watt and 50. Much better than North Highlands.............and it's still kinda ghetto.

****, ya that is seriously an awful place. I used to work right there on auburn blvd at fulton. Everything in that area is bad. The gas stations are bad, the denny's is full of crackheads, trailer parks, the hookers are out at the crack of dawn in the summer Gov't assisted living is right there and the AFB is too so you would have constant domestic violence and military aircraft flying overhead. Not trying to be rude or anything, but I have direct experience in those parts and let me tell you, it is a ****hole.

What's your budget? That's also a big deal - downtown can be $$ but there are inexpensive places.

NH is like Hayward... a ****hole no one talks about cause no one important ever die there. It's a stagnant place where people have nothing to do.

thanks for all the heads up, I talked with the girl that want to move in, and she says the street is clean and keep up, and it's about a mile or so off of watt. I talked with my landlord and he is going to keep looking, and we will check a few places out when I get there..

as for a budget, I wanted to stay around the 850-1000, anymore than that, I may as well just buy a house..

I will wait and see drive around, and find a place to where I get the best job offer, and hope it's not to expensive.
