Watch that first step - it's a doozie!

http://starbulletin.com/2005/06/03/news/story4.html

"An elderly passenger on a Hawaiian Airlines flight from San Diego thought he was opening a bathroom door.

Instead, the man was pulling on the handle of an exit door, spooking fellow passengers and setting off an alarm that prompted the pilot to evacuate the first-class section for about an hour."

When you gotta go, you gotta GO!

The passengers are dumber than the old man- he never would have gotten it open if the plane was moving. Too bad it took a freakin hour for someone to verify that the door had been reshut and wasn't going to fall off or anything.

If it was a plug type door that opens inward they have 8.2-8.4 psid on them from the cabin being pressurized so there is no possible way any human can open one.

That's when you are on fire. Not when you jump out of something that is moving.
