apache should've created a directory somewhere, it's directory that http points to when someone access the website.

should be something like public_html or something

 

Yeah, phpBB runs off of mysql so you will need that setup before php will be able to install...

 

Woo, now if I go to my IP... I get the "IT WORKS!" on the index.html

guess it's time for a smoke break then or something... i have like an hour left on the MySQL download :mad;

but atleast the index.html is now showing up when i go to my IP address... I'm taking screen shots like whoa and I still got atleast 3 hours to work with this thing... should be able to get it running, which is going to be ahead of most people. I think I might be the only person that will have a working server if I can get it to work..


i think it's called HTDOCS, in /usr/local/apache2

Sweet.. it works... now if there was only a way to get mysql faster so I can get this **** over with..


I guess I can just start working on my power point presentation and get up to the part were i install mysql since i took screen shoots of everything else.
