seems pretty awesome... it would be nice to have a quiet car while driving normally but then still have the potential for full power

I wonder what Nate would have to say about this... I just want a mechanic's opinion....

how about that other exhaust silencer type of thing thats controlled by the driver. It was the same idea as that, you can open and close the butterfly valve, but bolted on to your aftermarket exhaust. I have a video of it. Does any one know what it was called?

Nate will tell you to take it to another shop. He added exhaust cutouts to the list of banned work after the last one.

The diaphram should hold up as well as any wastegate actuator will. It's an interesting idea, and you can shut it off if you're passing by a cop or something.

I didn't read the link but BMWs used to have something similar, but just in the muffler, not sure if they still do

Yeah, they do. You can see them when you pull up behind them at a light. It looks like one of the pipes is blocked.
