My wife won't let me get the rs now because she says it's stupid to pay almost 30k for a car without a stereo, an ac or power locks, I 'd have to agree though. I really don't want a used car either so the gsr and sti aren't an option. It's defenitely gonna be the 06 wrx. I was planning on buying one in the next 6 months or so but now my wife want's me to do it sooner.

Sweet, kbb says 17-18k =/ I wonder how much I'll get for it realistically.

are there any long term reliability reports on the Evos?

I like the looks of the Evo, but now that the 06 WRX has all the new nifty upgrades like 4pots, EJ257, etc., I'd probably go for the WRX.

Don't get me wrong, the Evo is a sweet car, but Mitsubishi is having a very rough business period right now, with Daimler-Chrysler pulling out all their funding/execs being arrested in Japan, etc. That's why they're pretty much having blowout deals on their cars, because they seriously need to jump sales. Stuff like that kind of scares me when I go to purchase a car. Just IMO.

You didn't google it very well

GSR has been around on Mitsubishi models as a designator as long if not longer than it's been on Integras. GSR is the "normal" Evo, with all the toys (it wasn't until recently that the MR came into the world as the top dog in the Mitsu world) where the RS was the motorsports version with less sound deadening, manual windows, steel wheels, etc.

Now, the American product line goes RS-GSR-MR
