Austria may have different laws in place regarding this than we do. Hell, maybe they just didn't get the proper permits.

Corpses of people that have "donated their body to science" are *extremely* valuable as crash dummies. Nothing we've designed can match the accuracy of a real body in a crash test. Those corpses are saving lives.

i believe that the FBI has a field where they let corpses decay so they can study the rate of decay and insect infestation to determine time of death more accurately.

i'd rather be a crash test dummy when i go.

Yeah, it's in Tennessee (or at least one is) so they can compare humid areas to non-humid areas.
