105 sounds a lot more... thrilling... in an Escort than in a GTR.

I don't share Vladi's chutzpah in extending certain components beyond their design characteristics.

Gotta pay to play. Or, at the very least, don't pay retail.

Going 105 mph in my ZX2 was not as thrilling exceeding 120 mph (speedometer only went to 120) down I-5 through Oceanside playing with a W12 Phaeton was.

125 in my old 3000GT VR-4 was kind of a yawn... 105 in my Miata is kinda scary

135 in the 2.5i with a speedo that went to 140 was interesting.

~2am on I15 just before the Nevada border. Me and friend in front seat kinda bewildered. Second friend in the back seat completely asleep. The ride was extremely smooth.

1) he's eventually going to switch to ID1700's. Bought the 1050's because "everyone runs them" and had no clue how much more fuel his particular car actually needed.
2) I've had the 07sti style regulators to 500whp no problem. In fact, the more fuel you want to command through a regulator, the happier it is doing it. Bleeding off insane amount of excess is where the cheaper ones struggle.
3) The GTR vs ZX2, well if we could all afford GTR's I bet most of us would have one. This particular car has a total of $66,000 in total receipts. Not your backyard stancebro turdbucket. No one's skimping here.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm doing. I always encourage people to overbuild, and to get the best parts for their car.

In this case, I'm exploring limits. Because often times theory/math and reality are way way different. Eventually these parts will be replaced, but why not actually test them to their capacity?

Happens at the track all the time: bro comes with a xxxwhp car and thinks he can run xx's at xxxmph. When it doesn't even close to happen, the excuses start to fly. Just like all the dyno arguments out there, and whole "heartbreaker mustang dyno", blah blah.

I like to learn stuff and test stuff

Oh and I have a log and slips (and video) of my 428whp wrx running 11.7 @ 122mph holding 11.8AFR to redline on ID1000's and DW65c with 92% duty cycle.

Which theoretically is impossibru

Bro, my car makes 220whp, I should have easily run better than 1:50.000.

My tires are shot.

I've only seen a handful of top feed subaru's that actually needed more flow than the oem rails provide.
People usually buy what other people making/selling/making money on the stuff tell them to buy. Most don't even know what they need and why.
