man I'm bored. I hate this music appreciation crap class I'm taking online. This class I actually HAVE to do hw for it while the last music appreciation class I was didn't have work to do. I wish I stayed in the previous class but I had to withdraw from it a while back

 

I took that class live and HATED the music. Not because it's old, because I do enjoy bach, tchikovsky (sp?), mozart, etc. but they played some wierd *** **** in there. The ones I hated most were the ones where it's just a piano and two women, one singing really really high pitched, the other not quite as high pitched, but still high. used to bug the **** out of me!!!

 

Are you going to Solano? If so, drop again and get into one of Mikolajik's (sp?) classes. I got an A in Music 13 with him and literally didn't do one assignment. I just spoke up during class discussions.

 

You're missign the point a bit. What you're saying is like taking an auto chop class to learn how engines work, and complaining that they brought in ugly cars. The idea is not to decide if a piece of music or genre is good or bad, but to learn how it's made and how it related to other music.

 

I understand that, I think you're missing my point.

I take an autochop class to learn about engines, and when they happen to bring in a geo metro engine to show how it works with only three cylinders, I'm gonna do whatever work they want me to do...but I'm not gonna like it...

 

Yes I am. I took his class originally (the one I had to withdraw from) and I was overloaded that semester so scheduling was an issue. He was pretty alright and we would watch movies during class for the most part lol. I'm pissed I had to pay $113 for some ghey cds for the class...such an insane rip off! Right now I have Yumae and I hate it, but I'm sticking with it since I can't return the cds and already got this far anyways

 

Dude, if you can make it to his class for 3 hours a week, there is no workload. You have one short paper to write at teh end of the smester. Cut your losses if you're not on finanical aid or anything. No point suffering through a crappy class that you're only taking to fill a 3 credit requirement.
